As a Pet Farm Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining our warm, welcoming atmosphere—ensuring that every guest, big or small, enjoys a memorable day on the farm.

From supporting animal care and feeding routines to helping organise interactive farm activities, your enthusiasm and love for animals will shine as you create meaningful moments for our visitors.

Role:

The Pet Farm Hand Assistant will support the day‑to‑day care, feeding, and general wellbeing of a range of farm animals. This role is hands‑on and suited to someone who is passionate about animals, enjoys outdoor work, and is comfortable working in a farm environment. The assistant will ensure that all animals receive excellent care and that the farm remains clean, safe, and welcoming for visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

Animal Care

•     Feed, water, and monitor all farm animals including sheep, chickens and all other animals.

•     Clean animal housing, pens, bedding areas, and enclosures daily.

•     Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or distress, reporting concerns promptly.

•     Assist with routine health checks and basic treatments (under supervision).

Farm Maintenance

•     Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the farm and visitor areas.

•     Assist with general farm tasks such as bedding changes, waste removal, and equipment cleaning.

•     Ensure safe, secure fencing and enclosures.

Visitor Support

•     Interact with visitors in a friendly and informative manner.

•     Support educational demonstrations or feeding sessions.

•     Ensure visitors follow safety rules and animal interaction guidelines.

Operational Support

•     Follow all farm health & safety policies and procedures.

•     Assist with stock management (feed, bedding, supplies).

•     Support seasonal activities such as lambing, chick care, or special events.
