About the Role

We are seeking an energetic, guest-focused Assistant Conference & Banqueting Manager to support the leadership of our Conference & Banqueting operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced, event-centric environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless delivery of weddings, private events, conferences, and corporate functions, working closely with the F&B management team and operational departments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Conference & Banqueting Manager in the daily running of all C&B operations.
  • Lead, train, motivate, and mentor the C&B team to consistently deliver five-star service.
  • Oversee set-up, service, and breakdown of conferences, meetings, weddings, and banquets.
  • Ensure all events are executed to the highest brand, service, and safety standards.
  • Liaise with Events, Sales, F&B, and Kitchen teams to ensure flawless event coordination.
  • Assist with duty management responsibilities as required.
  • Manage stock control, ordering, and cost efficiencies within the department.
  • Handle guest queries quickly and professionally, ensuring memorable experiences.

A Day in the Life

You’ll begin your day reviewing event briefs and ensuring the team is fully prepared for upcoming weddings, meetings, or banquets. Whether coordinating a corporate conference or overseeing a gala dinner, you’ll be hands-on in the operation—leading by example, empowering your team, and ensuring every detail is delivered to perfection. No two days are the same, and every event brings an opportunity to create exceptional guest moments.


Candidate Requirements

  • Previous supervisory or assistant management experience in Conference & Banqueting or Food & Beverage.
  • Strong leadership skills with a passion for training and developing teams.
  • Excellent communication and organisational ability.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings.
