We are now seeking a dependable and guest-focused Night Porter to join our dedicated team and ensure the smooth running of the property throughout the night.
About the Role
As our Night Porter, you will be the reassuring presence at the heart of our house through the night. You’ll ensure guest comfort, safety, and satisfaction, while supporting essential overnight operations and preparing the property for the day ahead.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to guests arriving late or departing early
- Maintain guest safety by monitoring the property and completing regular checks
- Assist with guest queries, luggage, wake-up calls, and general requests
- Complete nightly cleaning and housekeeping tasks in public areas
- Prepare breakfast room and dining areas for morning service
- Manage check-ins/outs and update the reservation system as needed
- Support the team with administrative or operational duties required overnight
- Handle any emergencies or incidents calmly and efficiently
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous hospitality, night porter, concierge, or security experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, responsible, and trustworthy approach to overnight operations
- Good physical fitness and ability to be on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Fluent English and eligibility to work full-time in Ireland
Desirable
- Experience in boutique or guesthouse environments
- Familiarity with hotel booking systems (PMS)
- First aid or fire safety training
