The Role
The Pastry Chef will own the full sweet offering at this exceptional property — from afternoon tea and breakfast pastries to fine dining desserts and showpiece celebration cakes. This is a role for someone who sees pastry as a craft, not just a section.
The culinary experience at this property is central to the guest journey, and the pastry offering will be no different — refined, creative, and reflective of the castle's character and surroundings.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and delivering the full pastry and dessert menu in collaboration with the Head Chef
- Managing the pastry section to the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Creating seasonal menus that reflect the provenance and character of the property
- Overseeing the production of afternoon tea, breakfast pastries, and all sweet elements across the operation
- Maintaining impeccable standards of food safety and hygiene throughout
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen environment
- Creativity, precision, and a genuine passion for the craft
- Experience in a luxury, fine dining, or country house setting is a distinct advantage
- The ability to work independently, manage your section, and produce consistently at a high level
- Someone with an eye for detail and a desire to be part of something truly distinctive
