The Radisson Blu Hotel, Cork are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Director of Sales to lead our sales function and drive revenue performance across all segments.
This is a senior leadership role with real scope and visibility. You will be responsible for developing and executing the hotel’s sales strategy across Corporate, Meetings & Events, Food & Beverage, and Weddings, working closely with the General Manager and our Group Director of Sales. You’ll have the autonomy to shape how the hotel positions itself in the market, build and maintain key account relationships, and lead a commercially focused sales approach that delivers results both in the short term and over the longer horizon.
As part of the iNUA Hotel Collection, you’ll have the support of a wider group infrastructure — including GSO partnerships, group sales initiatives, and a network of experienced hospitality professionals — while maintaining genuine ownership of your hotel’s commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the hotel’s commercial strategy across Corporate, M&E, F&B, and Weddings segments
- Own and grow a portfolio of top corporate transient and M&E accounts, ensuring strong retention and pipeline development
- Drive the hotel’s Corporate rate growth and M&E pricing strategies
- Work proactively to grow direct corporate bookings and reduce OTA dependency
- Co-ordinate marketing campaigns for M&E, F&B, and Weddings in partnership with GSO and Operations teams
- Support the General Manager and Finance Controller with weekly and monthly forecasting
- Play an active role in the annual budgeting process
- Represent the hotel at corporate events, trade shows, industry associations, and client functions
- Participate in the iNUA Hotel Collection group sales initiatives and projects
About You
You’ll be an experienced hospitality sales professional with a proven track record in a senior hotel sales role. You know how to build and manage key accounts, navigate the RFP process, and translate commercial strategy into day-to-day sales activity. Equally, you’re someone who leads from the front — comfortable representing the hotel externally, managing stakeholder relationships internally, and holding yourself and your team to a high standard.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Significant experience in a Director of Sales or senior Sales Manager role within a hotel environment
- A strong track record in delivering commercial strategy and business plans.
- Strong experience in corporate and M&E sales, with demonstrable revenue achievement
- Experience with corporate RFP management (Lanyon / Cvent)
- Familiarity with CRM systems and disciplined account management practices
- An established network within the Cork or broader Munster corporate market (desirable)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, data-informed approach to commercial decision-making
